2018 marks the second season Pat McCann will serve as the UNI wide receivers coach. The success of the 2017 campaign included coaching 5th round draft choice Daurice Fountain. Under McCann’s direction Fountain’s production went through the roof. Fountain caught 66 passes for 943 yards and 12 touchdowns in his final campaign, compared to just 33 receptions for 413 yards and 5 touchdowns as a junior.

McCann comes to UNI after spending four seasons at UC Davis of the Big Sky Conference. Prior to his time at UC Davis, McCann served as the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Stonehill College in Easton, Ma. He was also the special teams coordinator from 2011-12 and the wide receivers coach and video coordinator from 2009-2011.

McCann played football at Western Washington from 2007-2008, earning first-team All-Conference honors as a wide receiver. He also spent time placing at the College of the Canyons from 2003-05, leading his team to a Junior College National Championship in 2004.
