If you had to sum up Randy Scott’s coaching career with one word, it would be “Impressive”. Coach Scott began coaching at Bettendorf High School in 1976 and never left, retiring from BHS in 2008. He spent the first 23 years as an assistant, coaching the offensive line and coordinating the special teams. During that span, Bettendorf won 5 Class 4-A State Titles. In 2000, Coach Scott became the head coach and was able to lead Bettendorf to state titles in 2004 and 2007. In addition to these impressive accomplishments, Coach Scott was inducted into the IFCA Hall of Fame in 2010.
